Pennsylvania issues proclamation of emergency and and expanded turnpike transportation restrictions and guidance. See below. The Governor of NJ declared a state of emergency at noon today. STATUS: 3/6/3018, 8:00amET This effort is not over as additional mutual assistance crews continue to move into the region from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Colorado headed towards New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. STATUS: 3/4/3018, 11:00amET Pennsylvania issued transportation waivers STATUS: 3/3/2018 6:00pm ET Maryland declares emergency. Virginia declares emergency and issues waivers. NJ issues waivers/guidance to fleets to pull into open weigh stations and will be waived through. 11:00am ET The electric sector companies and their contractors continue to move into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions to address the power outages caused y Winter Storm RILEY. Outages peaked last night (estimated at 3.14 mill) but dropping this morning (estimated 2.2 million currently) as crews restore service to customers. Crews started moving Friday and will continue to move today (Saturday) from around the East coast and Central US. States are asked to assist wherever then can by with reducing fleet movement delays at weigh stations and toll stations within their jurisdictions. STATUS: 3/2/2018 8:00pm The electric sector continues to monitor the storm. Mutual assistance organizations from throughout the sector are in close coordination and all needs are being addressed at this time. The Southeast Electric Exchange, North Atlantic Mutual Assistance Group, and Great Lake Mutual Assistance Group are all actively responding to the storm. 11:00am Winter storm RILEY is impacting the Northeastern US with damaging winds, coastal flooding and heavy wet snow causing power outages across the entire region. Downed power lines, flooding, broken poles, trees down. Power restoration fleets will be moving from across the Mi-Atlantic and Central regions to provide support as part of the electric sector's mutual assistance program. States affected are CT, NH, NY, Maine, Mass, NJ, Virginia at this time. Electric sector mutual assistance crews began rolling yesterday (3/2/2018) and will continue today from Canada, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina and most likely several other Southeastern States and Midwest. |
