Working Group Overview
The work of the All Hazards Consortium is done primarily through the activities of the Regional Working Groups. Comprised of members from the public and private sectors, education and non-profits, these groups provide a unique way for stakeholders to come together to discuss critical issues facing the region.
Currently, the Working Groups that are actively supported by the AHC are as follows:
Multi-State Fleet Response Working Group
Website: Multi-State Fleet Response The Multi-State Fleet Response Working Group (FRWG) is a private sector guided, public/private working group focused on supporting any efforts and organizations that can help expedite the movement of private sector repair and supply chain fleets and resources across multiple state borders in response to disasters. Followers and Members of this working group include both private and public sector individuals who volunteer their time to engage in the important efforts to expedite the restoration of power, supply chains and other critical infrastructures. The East Coast Corridor Coalition
The East Coast Corridor Coalition (EC3) working group is comprised and guided by operational professionals in the urban areas of Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, Newark, NJ, and New York City, NY, along with their respective states. This group focuses on broader east coast related issues that impact major urban areas. In the wake of Super Storm Sandy, this group is looking at ways to expedite mutual aid for both public and private sectors, improve federal coordination across multiple FEMA regions, enhance communications, and data sharing with the private sector and other regional partners across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. SISE (Sensitive Information Sharing) Working Group
This working group, a sub-committee of the FRWG, is focused on the development of a regional/national Trust Framework designed for the sharing of sensitive private sector operational information with government for the purposes of expediting critical infrastructure restoration and supply chain movement across state lines. This working group is comprised of and guided by private sector members of the Fleet Response Working Group and state and local government members of the East Coast Corridor Coalition (EC3) Working Group. Mid-Atlantic Consortium for Interoperable Nationwide Advanced Communications (MACINAC)
This working group is a public sector group that is participating in a regional multi-state initiative to assist the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) to plan, build, and operate the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) in the Mid-Atlantic region.
