The All Hazards Consortium/s Multi-State Fleet Response Working Group  is sponsoring this March 2016 webinar series in coordination with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's JCIP ( Joint Critical Infrastructure Partnership) along with the RC3 (Regional Consortium Coordinating Council) and several other groups.


WEBINAR SERIES TITLE:

Hovering Friends or Foes?
A Public/Private discussion To Better Understand UAV / Drone Related Threats, Use Cases and & Regulatory Barriers to the State/Local Governments and Critical Infrastructure owners and operators.


OVERVIEW:
With the growing opportunities and concerns around the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Drones across the United States, organizations in both government and the private sector are working to better understand and utilize this emerging technology to address day-to-day operational issues, deter threats from bad characters, create better policy and leverage experiences, best practices and investments in the future.


OBJECTIVES:
  • To develop a shared perspective in industry and government on this developing UAV/Drone technology
  • To better understand current capabilities and policy
  • To prepare for threats
  • Share best practices
  • To improve operational coordination and efficiencies
  • To gather recommendations

FORMAT:
This facilitated webinar series will feature panelists of both industry (electric sector) and government professional followed by participant Q&A and discussion. Each webinar will run for a maximum 60 minutes (1 hours) and feature up to 5 panelists who are operations professionals.
 
INTENDED AUDIENCE:
This webinar series is intended for any industry or government (state/local/federal) professionals who have an interest in UAV/Drone related best practices, operations, threat response, research, policy and overall capabilities.
 
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
  1. What is the current UAV / Drone technology including vehicle types, capabilities, ranges, and accessories & attachments used?
  2. What are some of capabilities used to disable drone threats?
  3. What are some current operational use cases for day-to-day operations in government and the private sector?
