The 90 Day Process
Step 1- Project Initiation Meeting
  • A half-day, in-person meeting between your development team and the Consortium staff and liaison would be held to clearly identify the desired results, targets and process
Step 2- Initial Project Plan
  • The Consortium staff and liaison would develop and present a project plan to you which would include an initial list of contacts to be approached.

Step 3- Liaison Service
  • AHC staff would reach out personally to request key stakeholders to meet, evaluate the solution and provide feedback and referrals to possible users. Your AHC Liaison would  follow up with each stakeholder to secure a face-to-face meeting between you and the potential users/evaluators. In some cases, the Liaison would also accompany you to each meeting to facilitate communication and provide feedback.

Step 4- Mid-Course Assessment  Session
  • A conference call or meeting would be held partway through the process to enable us to determine if any change of direction is needed to meet the desired results.

Step 5- Evaluation Session
  • After the interviewing process has been completed to your satisfaction, a conference call or meeting would be held to evaluate the results of the process and to discuss next actions.
Step 6- Contacts/Engagement
  • You would receive complete contact information on the individuals that were engaged during the process.
Step 7- Recommendations
  • The AHC team would make recommendations on the viability of a pilot project or eventual regional service similar to

Case Study
In early 2013, Hughes Network Systems engaged the AHC in this service to help develop an idea they had for a disaster response capability.

Working with the AHC along with both public and private sector advisors, Hughes began to shape the idea, address the operational requirements, begin framing the legal agreements, and eventually introduced the FLEET OPEN/CLOSED service now being used by the AHC's  Multi-State Fleet Response Working Group.

Just released in January, 2015, this service provides a national situational awareness tool for public and private sector responders during disaster situations when the need to identify opened facilities that sell gasoline, provide housing, access to water and food are critical in the first 72 hours.

This service provides a unique real-time capability not available anywhere else in the nation.
