Program Purpose
As governments face their current operational challenges and cost reductions, they often need additional people to help them with their strategies, planning, programs, research, project implementation, assessments, meetings, and communications. Finding quality experienced professionals quickly, who are available and affordable, is always a challenge. Unique Program Benefit Available only to AHC member public sector organizations, the AHC Staffing Resource program provides access to several types of staff. AHC operates this program on a 6.5% administrative fee, one of the lowest in the nation. This allows you to negotiate a rate or fixed cost with the 1099 adviser and have the AHC provide the administrative functions for an extremely low cost. Due to the cost of additional benefits for the employee positions, for Part/Time W2 employees (under 30 hrs./week) the AHC would add 13.5%. For Full/Time W2 employees (Over 30 hrs./week) the AHC would add 23.5%. Resource Pool Since 2005, the AHC has been developing a large network of hundreds of stakeholders, supporters, partners, consultants and advisers that cut across multiple sectors and disciplines. Many of these public and private sector professionals were previously senior leaders in their government or private sector roles. Additionally, the AHC works with multiple organizations that provide staffing services to the public and private sectors. The AHC Staffing Resource Program makes these highly experienced professionals and support staff available to member counties, cities, states, and other qualified organizations to assist them with their programmatic needs. Proven Performance Since 2009, the AHC has received excellent annual program and financial audit reports in managing over $12M in sub-grants including DHS FEMA Regional Catastrophic Grant Preparedness Program Grants (RCPGP) and the Urban Area Security Initiative Grants. The AHC is currently trained on the grants management systems for the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia and can adapt our skills to any system. Examples
