  • Description:  This session will focus on the PRIVATE SECTOR’s lessons learned from the 2017 Hurricane season. Specifically, a discussion on efforts in Puerto Rico; what they were doing on the island; how were they structured; was there any duplication of effort; how they could potentially work together in future events to gain efficiencies; any unique solutions that proved effective; and recommendations to the FRWG for enhancement or improvement efforts.

  • Description:  This session will focus on the PUBLIC SECTOR’s lessons learned from the 2017 Hurricane season. Specifically, the panel will discuss challenges they faced internally within their organization and with other government entities and states within the region; how they coordinated with private sector; their daily battle rhythms for communications with partners; the unexpected issues that arose and how they were addressed; any unique approaches or solutions that proved effective in the response effort; information sharing efforts with the private sector, other states and FEMA; and recommendation to the Fleet Response Working Group for possible enhancements or improvements.

  • Description:  How do multiple states, companies and federal agencies share information and coordinate operationally during a Harvey, Irma or Maria event? How do they avoid overlap of roles and information? How do state emergency managers, police and transportation officials all get on the same page with the private sector during these multi-state events? This panel will discuss how federal agencies and companies are working together with states and companies to enhance and expedite information sharing, coordinate operationally, increase efficiencies and achieve a unity of effort going forward.

  • Description:  How do you know what data sets and data providers to have confidence in? Which sources, tools and apps are the most reliable? How do decision makers know the difference? How can decision makers avoid making bad decisions that out their employees, suppliers or customers at risk?  This session will provide a briefing on the new Operational Readiness Level (ORL) Standard being developed by the SISE Working Group (Sensitive Information Sharing Environment) to vette and validate data and data-providers to enhance decision maker confidence in any data they use in the decision process

About the Meeting:
This regional integrated planning meeting is the annual gathering of operations professionals in industry and government (local, state and federal) who use the All Hazards Consortium’s Multi-State Fleet Response Working Group(FRWG) as a trusted planning and information sharing framework to work together to address regional security, disaster and business continuity related operational issues.

From across the United State and Canada, operational leaders in the electric, food, fuel, finance, retail, telecommunications, transportation, chemical, medical and other lifeline sectors come together with local, state and federal disaster response professionals to review the past year’s progress on initiatives, work on current issues, review solutions under development and set new objectives for the coming year.

This year's meeting will feature a luncheon keynote speaker, FRWG announcements, and several facilitated panel sessions with public and private sector professionals discussing four key topic areas:
